The magnificent Renaissance building of the Old Town Hall, built between 1554 and 1559, is also the work of Italian architect Borgorelli. Its decorative sgraffito façade depicts evangelists and figures of saints, including the patron saint of the Czech lands st. Václav. In the 18th century a tower was added to the town hall, which is now open to tourists as a unique sight-seeing location, from where you can see the Old Town Square and the nearby castle from the bird’s eye view.
