The town of Jičín, located on the edge of Bohemian Paradise, is rightly referred to as the gate to this picturesque region. It owes its fairy tale-like charm above all to the writer Václav Čtvrtek and his hero, the robber who according to the story lived in the nearby forest Řáholec. In Jičín you can also see the local chateau, romantic main square and the surrounding streets as well as the residence of the Duke Albrecht of Valdštejn.
