From Hotel U Hradu, which is situated in the centre of Mlada Boleslav, you can go for a walk to the nearby park Stepanka, wonder around the streets of the town or visit the Skoda Auto Museum. If you get tired of the modern part of the town, try the historical Old town square around the hotel. SKODA Auto Muzeum
The Skoda Automobile museum was established 1995 as a celebration of Skoda’s 100 years‘ anniversary. This unique building is one of the most visited touristic attractions of the town. It guides the visitors from the first and oldest automobile „Voiturette“ made in Mlada Boleslav 1905 to the modern days in a building that merges old industrial factory style with modern architecture and design.
GOLF Mlada Boleslav
Golf Mlada Boleslav offers 18-hole-coursse Sand Martin’s Holes as well as a 9-hole academy. It is open all year round for business clients as well as the public. This 173-acre course is situated on the outskirts of Mlada Boleslav.
Castle of Mlada Boleslav
Originally a wooden structure from the 10th century, later (in the 16th century) rebuilt as a Renaissance castle is situated above the merging of two rivers Jizera and Klenice neighbouring with our hotel. In the interior of the castle, there are expositions consisting of the most valuable exhibits of historical and ethnographic collections.
Town Palace Temple
The late Gothic town palace was erected in the 15th century. Since 2000, it offers a public permanent multi-media regional exposition „Templum Historicum at Archeologicum Boleslaviense“ which depicts the history of Mlada Boleslav from today back to the prehistoric time.
The House of Prayer of the Bohemian Brethren
This unique building is an important monument of Mladá Boleslav and the Czech Republic. It ranks among the oldest Renaissance Pseudo Basilicas outside Italy. It is nowadays used as a gallery to organize exhibitions and concerts.

Michalovicka putna (Michalovice Tub)
This ruin of a castle from 13th century is situated above the romantic valley of Jizera river. It used to be the favourite castle of Karel Hynek Mácha (Czech poet), with a beautiful view from the robust tower known as “the Tub”. Nowadays, the tower visibly leans thanks to treasure-hunters and construction of the nearby railway tracks below the castle.
Benatky nad Jizerou
Benatky nad Jizerou, sometimes romantically called the Czech Venice, is dominated by the local chateau from the 16th century surrounded by renaissance and baroque buildings. The chateau has a historical exposition including a Toy Museum with the largest collection of historical toys in the Czech Republic.
An alternative to relaxation in the nature of Bohemian Paradise is without doubt the nature conservation area of Kokorin, which surrounds the local Castle with its typical observation tower. The castle as well as the entire area is closely connected to Karel Hynek Macha, famous Czech poet, and offers a permanent exposition of romantic arts of 19th century.
Castle of Kost
The Kost castle is a gem of medieval architecture and belongs to the best-preserved gothic castles in the Czech Republic. In the interiors, you can find a permanent exhibition of historical weapons of the army museum.
Castle of Trosky
Dominating the Czech Paradise area, the ruins of Trosky Castle can be seen for miles around. Indeed Trosky is one of the most visited castles in the entire Czech Republic. Originally a Gothic castle, it was established in the 14th century atop a huge outcrop of basalt rock. Later it was divided into two separate towers called Baba (Old woman) and Panna (Virgin).
The town of Jičín, located on the edge of Bohemian Paradise, is rightly referred to as the gate to this picturesque region. In Jicin you can also see the local chateau, romantic main square and the surrounding streets as well as the residence of the Duke Albrecht of Valdštejn.
Liberec and Jested
A visit of the town Liberec should always include a visit to Jested, the highest peak of the Jizera Mountains. 1012m above sea levels you can find a mountain hotel with restaurant and an integrated TV tower, which is famous for its unique architecture by Karel Hubacek.
Pilgrimage Church of Ascension of Virgin Mary
In Stara Boleslav, 36 km from Mlada Boleslav, you can find the Church of Ascension of Virgin Mary. It is a baroque building decorated by the statues of the Czech saints – Ludmila, Prokop, Wenceslas, Vojtech and Jan Nepomuk from the 18th century. The church is containing a relief of Madonna called the Palladium of the Czech Lands which is often the destination of religious pilgrimages.
The castle Bezdez is one of the most important classic medieval gothic castles in the Czech Republic. It characterizes the region with its silhouette on a hill with two high towers overlooking the entire area.
